Scott’s Thoughts
It’s been a busy and exciting week over here atCategoryOneGames! We added a ton of new buy lists over the weekend, covering a variety of games, and you all took full advantage—orders came flying in as restocks hit the site. It’s always awesome to see long-wanted cards getting into the hands of players and collectors.
One of the highlights of the week was getting to chat with Matt from the BoardMatt YouTube channel! We did a deep dive into card condition grading, breaking down what to look for when assessing different grades. We even got into some of the trickier stuff, like how to handle foil warping and those infamous foil lines. If you’ve ever been curious about the ins and outs of card grading, definitely check it out: Watch the video here!
Looking ahead, I’ve got another round of buy lists in front of me, and I’m hoping to get a lot of them posted before the weekend. If there’s a specific game you’re hoping to see restocked, keep an eye on the site!
Speaking of the weekend, it totally snuck up on me. My son, Connor, is running the Las Vegas Half Marathon again this year, and I wasn’t originally planning on going—but my dad, his brothers (my uncles), and a bunch of my cousins are all heading out, so I figured, why not make a quick trip? It’s going to be great to catch up with family, cheer on Connor, and, of course, pop into a few game stores while I’m there. If I come across anything cool, I’ll be sure to share next week!
