Scott’s Thoughts
I hope your NFL teams are doing better than mine! As a Titans and Cardinals fan, I’m going through some rough weeks. The Cardinals did snag a win recently, but man, it was tough to watch. On the brighter side, BYU is 7-0, and it’s been a while since I’ve felt this good as a BYU fan. Here’s hoping we can finish strong through the rest of the Big 12.
Now, onto what’s happening at CategoryOneGames this week.
I’ve been slowly processing a huge Lord of the Rings TCG collection in my spare time. There are a lot of awesome pieces, including foils that are flying off the shelves as soon as I list them. It’s always exciting to see how quickly people respond to these rare additions.
I’m also diving back into the Dragonball Z game by Score. We made a big push over the summer, but I’ve been finding a few issues that need fixing. Unfortunately, that means it’s taking a bit longer than expected. I’m aiming to have most of it sorted by the end of November.
As for new arrivals, there’s a lot to get excited about! Earlier this week, I added The Crow CCG collection. Without even promoting it, we saw a bunch of items sell out fast. Beyblade CCG has also landed. It’s one of Decipher’s last games, with just one set of cards featuring foils and promos.
We’ve also restocked Zatch Bell and Pirates of the Caribbean. You’ll also see Bleachand InuYasha singles by the time this email hits your inbox, and Avatar: The Last Airbender should be available by this weekend.
Adding these new games to the site is one of my favorite parts of the job. From learning the mechanics to scanning the cards, it’s a blast for me. If you don’t see images for some games right away, don’t worry—they’re on their way!
