Growing Pains
You’ll notice on the front page of the site that we added around 20 new categories this past weekend. This is mostly boxes, packs, and starters from games like Adventure Time Card Wars, Bleach TCG, BOY CRAZY, CardFight! Vanguard, Lightseekers, Mechwarrior, and many more. We plan on adding singles for some of these games very soon. Boy Crazy should be up by the end of the week.
We’ve also added buylists for A Game of Thrones and Zatch Bell TCG. Once we get cards in for these games, we will open these categories up on the front page. So look through your extras and see if you have some you can get rid of.
We currently have 41 open buylists ranging from just about every game we carry and recently completed six different buylists since Sunday. We have multiple collections that have come in for World of Warcraft, X-Files, 7th Sea, Lord of the Rings, and VS System. We just processed a recent collection of Battletech and will most likely start on VS and LOTR next. Right now, it’s just finding time to go through them and get them added to the site.
One of the biggest things C1G is facing right now is the restriction of space. Either going with a smaller warehouse, finding larger office space, a building with retail and office or just adding another office in my current location. Right now, the last option appears to be where we are headed. The nearest warehouse space is over 20 miles away. If not for every warehouse in Utah having a Dance studio on one corner, we’d be able to find something closer. The extra office space in our same building will be open by the end of March and will allow us to open a receiving/grading area here as well as let us move all of our sealed product to this location. It will also let us bring on another employee with the extra space that we will have. I’m looking forward to being able to continue to grow the business and see how many more great games we can get onto the site.
Inquest & other gaming magazines.
I’m excited to announce that we will be adding gaming magazines as a category to the site for purchase. I’ll post a video of this sometime this week showing the selection of magazines that we will have to start. This will range from reading copies to sealed issues with their inserts.
Rare Books.
I was able to be part of a group that went to Moon’s Rare Books in Provo, UT this past week. Check out his TikTok account if you want to see some of the cool books he has in his collection. Moon’s has an original copy of the Lord of the Rings trilogy that J.R.R. Tolkien had given to one of his closest friends and signed his name in Elvish in the front of each book. The friend had asked Tolkien 10 questions and Tolkien answered them. The paper they used to exchange their Q&A session together was still in the book and our group was able to see the question and answer for two of those questions. I’ll share the questions we had answered on our C1G social media channels later this. I think you’ll get a kick out of it. Some of the other cool things he had in his collection was one of two shooting scripts for Star Wars A New Hope, first edition copies of Les Misérables and many other amazing books.
Pricing
I’m still updating pricing for various games that haven’t seen any updates in some time. Right now I’m working on Overpower with my eyes set on WWE Raw Deal and then World of Warcraft. I’ll update you after we get this updated.
